Arthur Valentine Devlin's Obituary
Passed away peacefully at home in Belmont of natural causes. Arthur was born June 24, 1933 in Sacramento and lived his adult life in Pebble Beach and Belmont. He was a graduate of Stanford Law School and practiced law on the Monterey Peninsula and in the Bay Area. Having participated in varsity sports in his undergraduate years, he remained an avid follower and supporter of Stanford athletics throughout his lifetime. Arthur's great wit, colorful story-telling and wealth of knowledge always shared in such an engaging manner will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know him. Predeceased by his loving wife, Susan Finney Devlin, he is survived by a large and devoted family including Diane Devlin of Nevada City, Elizabeth and Robert T. Devlin of San Francisco, Catherine and Edward McKown of Mill Valley; seven nieces and nephews, three step-nieces, nine great-nieces and nephews and a step great-niece and nephew. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to a charity of your choice.
