Arline Carroll's Obituary
Arline Carroll, entered into rest on Dec 17, 2022. There she is joined by her beloved husband of 55 years, “Bud,” two of her children, Gary Carroll and Gloria Wells Quan, her parents Eric and Anna Scott and her brother Edward.
Arline (Dubby) was born to Eric and Anna Scott in Boston, Massachusetts. She lived there until she was 21. While in Boston, mom attended a Performing Arts School and had aspirations of becoming an opera singer. At 21 she packed her bags, jumped on a train with several friends and headed to California to experience the world and reach for her dreams. She found her dream but not in the form she expected. It was there, while working as a clerk in an Insurance Firm, that she met the love of her life, “Bud.” Soon they were married and had four children. Living in San Francisco, they joined St. Anthony’s Parish and became very active in the church. She was able to share her passion of singing opera at the Sunday masses. What a beautiful voice mom had! She even managed to cut a record. She spent a lot of time with the church community in these earlier days going to family picnics and events. Eventually, the family moved to the country and she remained living there until she passed. Another dream fulfilled as she felt closest to dad there.
Arline was the “rock” of her family and always provided the best guidance to her children and grandchildren. She loved reading, cheeseburgers, baked potatoes (with lots of buttah), Sunday football with the 49ers and holiday events with her family.
She was vibrant, young at heart and always spoke her mind. She had a great sense of humor and was adored by her six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren
You will never ever be forgotten. You’re a rockstar! Thank you, Mom!
A private family burial will be held with a private celebration to be determined at a later date.
