Arlie Jean Johnson's Obituary
‘Arlie Jean Johnson, 92, of Los Altos, CA. died October 25, 2016. Arlie passed away at her home in Los Altos, CA in the supportive company of her daughter and son-in-law. Arlie lived in Los Altos for for more than 50 years. Daughter of John and Millie Johnson, born October 22, 1924 in Bellingham Washington, Arlie grew up on a small farm during the Great Depression. After High School, Arlie obtaining a secretarial degree in Seattle Washington. Arlie was able to leave rural Washington and eventually found employment as a Purser for Pan Am Airlines. She became a sophisticated world traveler, living in England and then Germany for a few years and also Hong Kong. Arlie also flew Alaskan routes and all over Asia, including Japan and Manila. She married an airline captain, Earl Johnson, (deceased) and raised two children. She is survived by her daughter Linda. She is also survived by two grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Services will be held November 21, at 2PM, at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo.’
