Antoinette Alloggiamento's Obituary
Antoinette “Toni” Alloggiamento, née Zeoli, passed away peacefully at her home in Redwood Shores, CA, on Monday, March 11, 2024, at the age of 86. Born and raised in Peekskill, NY, Toni was widely regarded for her sharp intellect, warm sense of humor, cheerful demeanor, and caring nature. After graduating from Vassar Brothers Hospital School of Nursing in Poughkeepsie in 1959, she proudly worked as a Registered Nurse for 42 years. She started her career as an oncology nurse at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York City, and later worked as an emergency room nurse at Porter Memorial Hospital in Littleton, CO, and as an ER, critical care, and post-anesthesia care nurse at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, CA. She felt privileged to care for people, save lives, and share her knowledge with other doctors and nurses throughout her professional life. Toni was a trailblazer in her era, balancing a successful career with a wonderful marriage and family. In a storybook romance, she married her soulmate, Attilio “Al” Alloggiamento, in 1964, whom she loved with all her heart. They moved from New York to Littleton, CO, in 1966 to follow Al’s aerospace engineering career and to raise their two children, Christine and Thomas. They later moved to San Jose, CA, in 1978 and then to Redwood Shores, CA, in 1997. In addition to being a loving wife, inspiring mother of two successful children, and proud grandmother of four amazing grandchildren, Toni enjoyed cooking, gardening, interior decorating, visiting with neighbors, and playing bocce and cards with her many friends. She loved the visual, literary, and musical arts, and was a talented charcoal sketch artist in her own right.
Toni will be missed dearly by her beloved husband, Al; her two children, Christine Frank and Tom Alloggiamento; her daughter-in-law, Julia Alloggiamento, her four grandchildren, Michael Alloggiamento, Jessica Frank, Jennifer Frank, and Sophia Alloggiamento; her sister, Mary Masiello; and all her nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many friends. Toni is predeceased by her parents, Anna and Vincenzo Zeoli; her brothers, Alfredo, Vincent, and Anthony; her sister, Angelina; and her son-in-law, Gregory Frank.
Toni was very proud of her Italian heritage. She said to tell all of you, “Non ti scordar di me! T’amo.”
Toni requested that in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center: https://giving.mskcc.org/give.
