Anne Lin's Obituary
On Monday, September 11, 2017, Anne Lin, passed away suddenly at the age of 71 years.Anne was born on November 21, 1945, to the late Si-Chau Chun and Sien-Koon Yu, in China. She and her parents moved to Taipei, Taiwan, when she was four years old. She was reported to be an energetic child who often found herself in trouble! After high school, she attended Shi-Chan Home Economic College, where she studied accounting. She wed Yi Lin on September 5, 1969 in Taipei. Shortly after, they immigrated to Ottawa, Canada. From there, Anne relocated multiple times between the years 1971 to 1975 as she accompanied her husband as he completed his higher education. They first lived in Ohio, then Ontario, Canada, back to Ohio, then lived briefly in Tennessee. In 1976, the couple moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, living briefly in Daly City before moving to San Jose. In 1983, they moved to Union City, where Anne settled down at last. Anne then began her career as an accountant at the Boccardo Law Firm, where she worked for more than thirty years.More than anything, Anne loved her family and friends. She was also a great artist, and had an imaginative and creative eye. She loved oil painting, jewelry-making, crocheting, and designing and sewing clothes. Nothing made her happier than giving one of her creations as a present- especially to her grandchildren! Anne also liked traveling- her favorite places were Hawaii and anywhere she could find a slot machine.Anne is survived by her husband Yi, and her two children, Jennifer and James. She will also be lovingly remembered by her three grandchildren: Lucy, Emmeline, and Callen, and her son-in-law, Unsok. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017, beginning with a viewing at 10:00 AM, and service starting at 11:00 AM at Skylawn Memorial Park.
