Annabelle C. Wendt's Obituary
Ann passed away at the age of 94 in Redwood City, CA. She was born and raised in Rupert, Idaho. She is predeceased by the love of her life Johnny. They spent 67 wonderful years together. She was the daughter of Marie and William Nelson. One of nine children, she is predeceased by her sisters; Dora, Sis and Babe and her brothers Buddy and Marvin.Ann is survived by her son Terry and his wife Marilyn; her brothers Dick and Leland and her sister Sharon. She was the proud Grandma to Kevin, Tim, Jennifer, Natalie, Patrick, Sasha and Chris. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Ann is also survived by a special family member Peggy McIntyre, mother to Kevin, Tim and Jennifer.During World War II she worked as a “Rosie the riveter” in Seattle, WA. That is where she met Johnny and the rest is history. They had one son Terry whom she doted on for her entire life. Her purpose in life was to take care of her men and she did an excellent job. She and Johnny loved to travel. She was always up for the next adventure whether it was traveling to Hong Kong or driving across the United States with their trailer. She loved to dance. It didn’t matter if it was ball room dancing or round dancing, watching them on the dance floor would bring tears to your eyes.Ann was a wonderful wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed. A private memorial service will be held on June 16, 2017. She will be laid to rest with the love of her life.
