Anna CollinsMarch 19, 1929 ' Jan. 4, 2012 Anna Collins, 82, of Hayward Calif. passed away peacefully on January 4, 2012 at Kaiser Hayward Hospital.Born March 19, 1929 in Missouri, she was one of 12 children born to Charles and Minnie Simpson.Anna lived there until she moved to California with her husband George William Collins.They celebrated 63 years of marriage this last June.She is survived by her husband George William Collins of Hayward, CA., son William Collins and daughter-in-law Hajnalka Collins of Castro Valley, CA., daughter Debra Collins of Castro Valley, CA., grandson James Collins and wife Robyn of Sacramento, CA., granddaughter Julia (Collins) Malvick and husband Erik Malvick of Davis, CA, two great-grandchildren Lucas and Iris Collins of Sacramento, CA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Anna's commitment to PTA activities was honored with a Lifetime Membership. She loved fishing, camping with her family and socializing with her many friends and neighbors. In later years she enjoyed going for daily walks with her husband George, gardening, and was a very avid reader. Anna's wishes were to be cremated and for her ashes to be scattered in a private service at Skylawn Cemetery, San Mateo, CA. on a hilltop overlooking the Pacific Ocean. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anna's name to the American Diabetes Association. We would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to all who enriched our dear mother's life.
