Angelo A. PellizzerPassed away, Wednesday September 8, 2010 at the age of 94 during his return trip home from a visit to the family farm in Greene County, Iowa. Angelo leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Melvina, a son, Matthew(Lyn), a daughter, Annette(Raymond), five grandchildren, and his cherished three great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins. Angelo was the last of ten siblings whose family came to San Mateo in the early 1920's. He spent over 40 years working as a butler for families in Woodside and Hillsborough(Christian deGuigne III Estate). Upon retirement Angelo and Melvina moved to Greene County, Iowa to live a quiet, peaceful life on the farm. In 2003 they moved back to San Mateo to be closer to their children and grandchildren, but continued to visit Iowa. He loved watching the wildlife, growing vegetables, flowers, and visiting his many friends and relatives. He will be missed by all.Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 10am-12noon at the Lifemark Center at Skylawn Memorial Park. Ceremony and burial will follow. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Mills-Peninsula Hospital Foundation, 1501 Trousdale Dr. Burlingame, CA 94010, or a charity of your choice.
