Angelita Oehler's Obituary
Known to many as “Angie”, a 40-year resident of San Mateo county, California, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Country Villa South Convalescent Center in Culver City, California at the age of 81.
Born in San Narciso, Zambales, Philippines on January 27, 1940, “Lita” was the third oldest of eight siblings born to Segundino Nobles and Lourdes Isip Nobles, both deceased. Angie immigrated to the U.S. in 1981 with her only child Allan and pursued what turned out to be a lifelong career in the beauty industry.
Angie was an amazing and talented hairstylist with over 55 years of experience that included styling contestants at the Miss Universe pageant hosted in the Philippines in 1974. She loved what she did and had a successful career with loyal clientele, and worked until her stroke in June 2015.
She had a great love of cooking, watching action movies, reading gossip magazines, and was particularly fond of Christmas because she would showcase her dazzling array of Christmas ornaments and tree decorations especially when she hosted parties in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Angie is survived by her devoted son Allan and his partner Paul; eldest sister Isabelle and three younger siblings Regina, Onofre, June and sister-in-law Gregoria; and her many nephews and nieces who remember their Auntie as a fun-loving, fashionable diva.
Angie will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts, but she is reunited with her parents and three brothers Tanny, Rogelio and Jose.
A celebration of Angie’s life will be held on what would have been her 82nd birthday at Skylawn Memorial Park located Highway 92 at, CA-35, San Mateo, CA 94402 on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 11:00 am-1:00 pm in the Crystal Springs Chapel. Interment will follow at 1:00 pm immediately after chapel services. A private reception will be held after the burial service for immediate family members only to minimize and prevent the spread of the contagious omicron variant during this time.
