Amy Marley's Obituary
It is with deep sadness that on May 12, 2017 at 3:20 pm, Amy Marley, age 78, of San Bruno passed away. She was surrounded by her loving family at Seton Medical Centre in Daly City.Amy was born in the Philippines on May 29, 1938 to Augusto and Alice. After immigrating to the United States, the family resided in Brooklyn, New York before settling in San Francisco, California. Amy graduated with High Honors from Santa Rosa Junior College, and earned her Baccalaureate in Business Management from St Mary’s College in Moraga California while raising her two loving daughters and working as a civil servant.Amy worked for nearly 30 years at the State Compensation Insurance Fund in San Francisco, retiring as a Legal Analyst with the State Fund Legal department in July 1991.Amy was first married to Jose “Peping” from May 29, 1956 until his death in November 25, 1987. In June 1989, during a cruise thru the Panama Canal, Amy met John; they were married on December 28, 1990 in Honolulu, Hawaii.Amy is survived by her husband John Marley; Daughters Laura Littwin (Roy) and Liza Del Rosario; Granddaughters Dawna Haze (Steve) and Danielle Green (Aaron); and beloved Grand-dog Buell. Amy was also survived by her brother Augusto and sisters Glory and Mari Alice and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and their families.A Celebration of Amy’s Life will be held on Thursday May 25, 2017 at Skylawn Funeral Home. Viewing and Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 Noon, followed by a Memorial Service and Burial. A reception will be held immediately afterwards.At the Family’s request, in lieu of flowers, a donation to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
