Alix Miranda Bollman's Obituary
“Did you miss me?” “I miss you even when I’m with you.” — Alix Miranda Bollman Alix Miranda Bollman was born Saturday May 28, 1988 at Seton Hospital in Daly City, Ca. She passed away in her sleep on May 29, 2012 after turning 24 years old in her home at Moss Beach, Ca. Alix Miranda began studying at San Francisco State; already an avid reader, published writer, avant-garde artist and vibrant speaker. Under the incredible pressure of being a single Mom who wanted to do all the rights things for her son, Milo Bean Bollman – Alix finished her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Ashford University, Spring 2012. She planned to continue her education so that she could provide a full and beautiful life for her son. Alix Miranda or ‘Ix’ as many of her friends called her was a lot of fun to be with; spending a couple of hours with Alix was like taking a trip down a rabbit hole. She would tell you stories from the books she was reading; quoting the authors she loved and was excited to inspire someone else to read them. Alix told her own stories too; about friends, lovers, enemies, dreams, parties, music and her demons. Talking to Alix was always an experience because she was brutally honest, articulate, and hilariously funny. She accomplished so much in her life, it was hard to believe she was only 24 years old. She made life long friends everywhere she went; people were drawn to her intensity, beauty and clever wit. She traveled on a shredded shoestring to Japan, New York, Mexico, & Hollywood. She made her way through life living every second the way she wanted and expressed her ideas through daily blogs, journals, short stories, fantastical drawings, and even film. She was selected to participate in a documentary about medical marijuana produced by Dean Shull. Ix attended Oaksterdam University in Oakland, and received rave reviews for her real life portrayal of herself in the movie ‘California 90420.’ Of course, Alix’s greatest adventure was her son Milo Bean, born against many odds October 14, 2012. She gave up her life as the ‘it’ girl of the East Bay; moved back to Moss Beach with her family so she could study every phase of pregnancy and child development – no baby website went un-browsed. She was a smashing success as a mother and so proud of her happy, healthy, handsome Bean. No friend went unloved either. Alix wanted Milo to have a wide base of family and friends; she mended old fences, reached out to long distance relatives, and made sure every worthwhile person in her life had the opportunity to share her happiness with Milo. Alix’s love of life, friends and family grew brighter with every day. Alix grew more beautiful everyday and Milo was the luckiest little baby in the world. She is survived by her handsome son, Milo Bean Bollman, her first friend & brother, Fredrick Andrew Bollman, and her proud parents, Fredrick Gary Bollman & Terese Camille Bollman.
