Alice Rosalie Pribbenow's Obituary
Alice Rosalie Pribbenow, 93, passed away quietly at her home in Redwood City on June 8, 2018.Alice was born in Victor, Colorado on April 23, 1925, the daughter of William H. and Maude B. Lehr. She married Frantz Paul Pribbenow on June 29, 1947. Moving to Redwood City in 1956, she and Frantz worked hard to build a happy life for themselves and their daughter, Diana Marie. Family and friends lost a kind and strong woman, who loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She was happiest surrounded by her family.Alice filled her family’s lives with love and laughter. She would sing and dance her way to the kitchen with her granddaughters “to get a drink of water.” She grew up in the big band era, going to dances and listening to her father play the piano. She and her husband loved to travel, often visiting family in Colorado, Missouri, and Utah. They spent many trips with her sister, Anita, and her husband, Ken Garry, going to Hawaii and enjoying time gambling in Nevada. Her infectious giggle and lighthearted presence will always be remembered. Her granddaughters will remember and honor her sense of humor, her love of Betty Boop and “The Three Stooges,” and the joy she found in the silliest moments. She was a fun and generous woman.Alice will be missed deeply by her daughter, Diana Weber, and her husband Ken Weber, her sister, Anita Garry, her granddaughters Penny Feil and Christina Weber Knopp (husband Matt Knopp), her great grandsons, Jaymes Feil (wife Anna Feil) and Justin Feil, her great great granddaughter, Emma Rosalie Feil, her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews, and numerous other family and friends.
