Hi All
I worked for Al at Space Systems Loral … I really like Al as a manager and a friend.
He was very practical, smart and kept a cool head when we were under pressure.
He was a very spiritual man committed to his faith…we both went to Cathedral High School in El Paso Texas.
The world will miss this kind soul.
Thank You Al for all you kindness, inspiration and friendship,
Blessing and all the best

Just received this news. Of course, I have so many memories that welled in my heart reading about Mr. Parra's passing. A boss. A mentor. A friend. Kind. Considerate. Efficient. A man of faith. So blessed that have many Parra memories and stories. It was a privilege to work with him those years in the SCIF!
Al was a good friend and fellow worker for many years. In out retirement years we saw each other at SIR lunches. He was a fun guy to work with. We were politically sympatico and shared our insights into current affairs. Importantly, Al was responsible for pointing me to the house that I have lived in since I returned from an overseas assignment in 1974.
My sincere condolences to Margaret and the family.
