Alberto Garde's Obituary
Alberto (Bert) Garde passed away peacefully on Saturday May 6, 2023 at the age of 90.
Born in Calamba, Laguna on November 21, 1932 to Pastor and Salome (Alcasid) Garde. He graduated from the University of Philippines in 1958 with a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture. During his work in advertising, he met the love of his life, LIgaya Austria.
They married on May 1, 1966. To this union three children were born. He had a long 31 year career at the Sugar Regulatory Administration.
He was a kind, humble and reticent man and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He took a keen interest in sports (Warriors and Giants), politics and was a dedicated follower of news and current events.
Bert is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gay, and his two sons, Hector and Jo, daughter, Terry, son-in-law Rommel, daughters-in-law Jean and Rachelle and six grandchildren, Laude, Marcel, Zoe, Nikki, Monique and Migs.
He is preceded in death by his parents Pastor and Salome, sisters Concepcion, Felicidad and Milagros and brothers Benjamin, Artemio and Romulo.
Bert's wish was to be cremated.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on May 20, 2023 at 2PM at Saint Augustine Church.
