Albert F. Wong, 90, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2018. He will be missed by his family and laid to rest with his wife, Miriam Ho.Albert is survived by his family—his siblings: Mary and Edward, his children: Robert, Annabelle,Wilbert, Maribelle, and Emily, his grandchildren: Terence, Jantel, Daniel, Kirsten, Katrina, Lauren, Samantha, Caitlin, and Justine, his great-grandchildren: Caleb, Jake, Tyler, and Gavin.Albert was born on July 1, 1928 in the Philippines. He married his wife Miriam on April 6, 1958 and together raised their five children in Manila. The family immigrated to the United States in 1984 and planted permanent roots in San Francisco.Albert was an avid fan of golf, the Golden State Warriors, and National Geographic documentaries. He was well dressed for any and every occasion and very fond of Chinese and Japanese food. Despite his diabetes, he had a stubborn sweet tooth which he enjoyed satisfying with ice cream and desserts. He enjoyed many family gatherings playing mahjong and singing karaoke—his favorite song to sing was “My Way” by Frank Sinatra.His viewing, service, and burial will be held on Monday, July 16 at Skylawn Funeral Home. A viewing will take place from 10 AM – 1 PM, and his service and burial will occur from 1 – 3 PM, with a reception to follow from 3 – 5 PM.
