Alan King-Yee Yun, 69, of Walnut Creek, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on November 3, 1955, to Yun Ying Pang and Liu Ton, Alan owned a high-end hi-fi loudspeaker company that thrived for 40 years, earning respect and awards for his expertise.
A charismatic and passionate man, Alan was known for his enthralling stories—whether transforming casual chats about musical pieces into unforgettable masterclasses, dissecting the craftsmanship of his watch collection, or sharing vivid memories from his travels and youth. His voice commanded attention, and his eyes were deeply illuminated by kindness.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jenny, and his devoted children, Alan and Christina.
Alan’s magic was his gift for making lives richer. Though he has journeyed onward, his genius remains with us—in the music we now hear with wiser ears, in the stories we will always cherish, and in the countless ways he helped us to see the world.
