Alan Wei-Kwan Wong 1948-2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alan Wei-Kwan Wong on June 22, 2025.
The youngest of two children, Alan was born in China on August 14,1948. After graduating from New Method College in Hong Kong, Alan travelled overseas to obtain his degrees at University of Colorado Boulder and UC Berkeley before starting his career as an engineer and scientist at IBM for 13 years. He later joined Cadence Design Systems as a Technical Account Manager and eventually became a Top 5 salesperson of the year within 8 years. Alan extended his professional sales career as a Broker Associate at Alain Pinel Realtors until he officially retired after 16 years in real estate practice.
Alan was married to the love of his life, Janice Hidemi Wong, for over 40 years, making a home together in San Jose, CA. When Janice became ill in 2021, Alan devoted all his time to care for her until her passing in 2023. Afterwards, he worked tirelessly to preserve Janice’s legacy by sharing her artwork with the rest of the world.
He will be fondly remembered for his quiet wisdom and family dedication. He is survived by his sister and many friends and relatives.
