Dr. Abel L. Robertson Jr.'s Obituary
Dr. Abel Robertson was born in Campana, Argentina, and earned his medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires and his Ph.D. from Cornell University. He conducted groundbreaking cardiovascular research at New York University, the Cleveland Clinic, Case Western Reserve University, the University of Illinois-Chicago, and Stanford University.He is survived by his wife, Irene Kirmayr, children Maggie, Abel (Joanne), Andrew, and Malcolm (Jennifer), and grandsons Ryan Mathis and Colman Robertson, as well as family in Argentina.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Dr. Robertson’s name to Doctors Without Borders or the charity of your choice.
