Shew Jing Lee's Obituary
Shew Jing Lee, 83, of San Francisco, California, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 12, 2017 at San Francisco General Hospital. Born in Toishan, China, he immigrated to San Francisco when he was 16 years old. He worked as a short-order cook and waiter on land and on cruise ships. Later, he was a longshoreman for over 30 years. After retiring over 22 years ago, he helped raise all his grandchildren by being their day-care, pre-school, and after-school caretaker and driver.Shew was a good man and loving father and grandfather. He was proud of his achievements in providing well for his family. Shew was extremely proud of all his three granddaughters, Ashley and Amanda Louie and Nicole Lee, and his two grandsons, Bryan Lee and Aaron Louie. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Choi Yuk Lee, and his two daughters, Carol Lee and Nancy Louie, and his son, James Lee.The family will receive friends and family on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Skylawn Memorial Park, Hwy 92 and Skyline Blvd, San Mateo, CA. A reception will follow.
