Mr Kingshu Cheung's Obituary
先人張敬書, 其父張恭陛，其母吳素弟。係广東省Guangdong Province, 汕頭市Shantou, 潮陽区Chau Yang District, 葛洲鄉Ge Zhou Village 人。生於一九一七年六日廾五日, 卒於二0一五年三月十二日, 享齡九十八, 福寿雙全。 一九四0年与陳桂清結婚,生有四子, 己婚, 皆住San Mateo County。共有三男孫, 四女孫; 五男曾孫, 三女曾孫。 先人四歲時遇台風洪水喪母, 十六歲隨父往越南經商, 二十歲開始近四十年诲員生涯。到过太平洋周边所有国家。一九四九年把妻子及兩名兒子帶到香港。 退休后與家人先住香港, 后於一九八四年與妻移民美国。 先人一生勤於工作, 对人忠誠, 对子孫慈祥關懷, 大受子孫尊敬愛戴。今天告別, 將與陰陽相隔二十載的先母重會, 安葬於百齡園先母墓旁。Kingshu CHEUNG, son of Gong Shing Cheung and Su Di Wu, was born in June 25, 1917 in Ge Zhou Village, Chau Yang District, Shantou, Guangdong Province, and China. Died in March 12, 2015, he enjoyed the age of ninety-eight, with happiness and longevity.Married to Kwaiching Chan in 1940, He leaves four married children, all lived in San Mateo County, with a total of three grandsons, four granddaughters; and eight great-grandchildren.At age 4, he lost his mother in a thunderstorm that flooded his home village. At 16, he went with his father to Vietnam to venture business. At 20, he began his almost 40 years of sailor career, and had been to all Pacific Rim countries. In 1949, he brought wife and two sons to Hong Kong. After retired, he lived in Hong Kong with wife. Later, they immigrated to USA in 1984. Kingshu was a diligent worker, had trustworthy and cheerful character, and was always caring towards children and grandchildren, thus earned their great respect and love. Today’s farewell makes reunion with his wife who had left him twenty years earlier possible. He would be buried next to his beloved wife in Sunset Circle, Skylawn, San Mateo, California.
