Ah-Hwa Yang Hsiung (1922 – 2013)Mrs. Ah-Hwa Yang Hsiung, a longtime resident of San Jose, CA, passed away on November 23, 2013 at San Jose Regional Medical Center. She was ninety-one years old.She was born in Thailand on July 2, 1922 (lunar calendar) and brought back to her parents’ hometown, Meixian, in Guangdong, China when she was 10 years old. In 1940, she met and married Mr. Tsun-Shiang Hsiung in Guangdong. They started a family, and had one son and four daughters. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, one brother, four daughters, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.She relocated to Taiwan shortly before the Communist takeover in China in 1949. For many years, her husband frequently traveled as a full time sea transportation captain. As a result, she served the role of both mother and father, raising five children by herself. She encouraged them to study hard, guided them through top-rated colleges in Taiwan, and provided them with resources for advanced studies in the US. She was proud that they all were able to receive higher education, develop good careers, and raise their own families.At the request of her married daughters, she moved to the US in 1979 to help take care each of her newly born grandchildren. In 1986, she and her husband settled in San Jose, California and lived a quiet and peaceful retirement life together. Her children and grandchildren visited often.Always hardworking, she was a loyal domestic partner to her husband, a great mother to her children, a caring grandmother to her grandchildren, and an enviable role model for her friends and relatives.While she is gone, her spirit is forever buried deep in the minds of her loved ones.熊楊愛華 (1922 – 2013)熊楊愛華女士,廣東梅縣人,二零一三年十一月二十三日在北加州聖荷西醫院病逝,享年九十一歲。一九二二年農曆七月初二她在泰國北欖坡出生,十歲時返回中國唸書,十七歲時與熊尊祥先生在廣東結識成婚,一九四九年舉家遷移台灣定居,育有一子四女。先生當年從事遠洋航運工作,經年在外,她一人身兼雙親,辛勤持家,養育五個兒女長大成人;對每個兒女從小諄諄教誨,敦促他們用功向學;亦以兒女們均能奮發向上,名列前茅,考進名校,及至赴美深造,引以為傲。一九七九年,她應允子女要求來美幫助照拂尚在襁褓中的孫兒女。一九八六年在加州聖荷西定居,度過二十七年平靜安寧而美好的退休生活。兒孫們對她敬愛無比,經常探望她。她一生勤儉持家,教誨兒女,是先生不可或缺的賢內助,兒女心目中偉大的的慈母,孫兒們敬愛的婆婆,親友中人人稱羨的賢妻良母及好友。她慈藹的音容笑貌在親人們的腦海中永存不減。Husband: Tsun-Shiang Hsiung (熊尊祥) Brother: Tsao-Biao Yang (楊潮標) Son: Jaw-Huan (兆寰), deceased Daughters: Man-Li (曼莉), Mon-Li (孟莉), Irene (怡莉), and Lily (莉莉) Son-In-Laws: Yung-Wei Hsueh (薛永蔚), Shaw-Chang Chu (朱紹彰), Shao-Shiow Chang (張紹庥), Chih-Man Hsu (徐質敏) Grandchildren: Gary Hsueh (薛昌昊) & Nicole Lampsa, Helen Hsueh (薛昌晏), Emily Chu (朱宇康), Andy Chu (朱宇安),Wendy Chang (張雯) & Matt Tracz, Betsy Chang (張雲), Vivian Hsu (徐蔚文), and Karen Hsu (徐凱文) Great grandchildren: Camden Hsu (薛克玲), Rylee Tracz (崔瑞里)
