Dear family Geipel, I saw this memory as I look like the Name Hermann Geipel in Markneukirchen. I'm so sorry for you loss, But I hope you can look in the future as well.
I live near the birthplace of Rudolph Hermann in Plauen/Vogtland/Germany and visit every years to my Name Cousins all over the world. MY Family tree of the Geipels is very big and I have it here. I’m so sorry for your loss. I saw this via google alerts for Geipel and when I looked at his place of birth, I wondered if we could be related. My grandfather, Ernest Carl Geipel, was born in Fleissen, Germany/Austria (now Plesna, Czech Republic) to Johann Carl and Johanna C. Barth Geipel in 1864. He came to Illinois in 1878. His birth town is next to Bad Brambach which is close to Markneukirchen. I would be happy to share information with your family if you think there might be a connection.
