Growing up my parents always talked about how special Uncle George was to them. My dad's deep love and appreciation was always apparent. He always sent a card for my birthdays every year when I was kid. When I moved to the Bay Area he was always kind, generous, and welcoming. It was a great privilege and comfort getting to know the family up north. This is deeply sad, and I hope you are all holding up as well as can be.
George was a character and challenged us to do better and know more about telecommunications. He shared his love for his family, for all of you. I'm glad that I got to know him better after retirement. Please let your memories bring you smiles.
