Susan Jessee
October 1, 1957 - July 22, 2021
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Susan Jessee on July 22, 2021, ending her battle against Glioblastoma brain cancer at the age of 63. Susan was born in San Francisco, CA on October 1, 1957 to Thomas and Barbara Jessee. Full of charisma, she lit up the room with her smile and twinkle in her eye. She had a happy childhood growing up in Pacifica and San Bruno. She graduated from Crestmoor High School in 1975 where she was a pom pom girl for the Falcons all four years. She loved the excitement and glamour of San Francisco and had a successful career working in the fast-paced world of business at Visa, Sony, Intel, and AT&T wireless. She finally found her niche in landscape design at Viking Pavers, where she was able to mix her sales experience with her artistic talent. While work always kept her busy, she never passed up a chance to travel. She loved European culture, food and art and visited countries all over the world. Susan loved to shop, enjoyed sudoku puzzles and watching old movies. She had a movie star moment of her own when she appeared on KQED’s restaurant review show called Check, Please! She also volunteered at Channel 9. She was a member of the SF Tennis Club and could also be seen playing a round of golf at the local golf course. To her social circle, she was a great and steadfast friend. She was always positive, facing whatever challenges life brought her way with determination and resilience. Having no children of her own, one of her greatest joys was watching her nieces and nephews grow up and the honor of being Godmother to Janai Jessee. Although her life was too short, Susan was always smiling. She believed in living in “The Present Moment”. Susan leaves behind her parents, Thomas and Barbara Jessee; siblings, Cathy Littlefield and her husband Robert; Tom Jessee and his wife Tiffany; nieces and nephews, Heather De Lucchi and her husband Steve; Christopher Littlefield; Shawn Jessee and Janai Jessee; great-nephew and great-niece, Steven De Lucchi and Lauren De Lucchi; cousins Bobbie (Paul), Tom, Christen, Tony, and Nancy. Susan was predeceased by her grandparents, Bernard & Irene Temple and Hal & Pauline Jessee. A service will be held on August 5, 2021, at Skylawn Memorial Park at 10:00AM, and will include a Remembrance of Life Service, followed by a Reception. The family requests that those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to your favorite charity in Susan’s name.
