In Loving Memory Kam Hee Ip Dec. 23, 1937 - Nov. 29, 2021 Mr. Kam Hee Ip, age 83 of Burlingame, CA, USA, passed away on November 29, 2021 at 18:03 at San Francisco General Hospital, CA, USA due to a tragic car accident just a block away from his home. He is the third youngest of 6 children and was born on December 23, 1937 in Shanghai, China to parents Mr. Ip Chiu Goon & Mrs. Ip Li Yung. In 1940, he and his mother managed to escape to Hong Kong. In 1960 he graduated from The Hong Kong Arts Center as a professional HairDresser. He met his wife, Angela Tang, in 1962 and they got married in 1963. They immigrated to San Francisco, CA, USA with their first child, Wing Sze, in 1971. Kam & his wife owned a laundromat at 1150 Howard Ave. in Burlingame, CA and later a Chinese restaurant on Washington St. in San Francisco, CA. He was a small business owner until he retired in 1999 at the age of 62. He was an aspiring chef and always wanted to share his love for food. He enjoyed tinkering with Chinese herbs and always encouraged everyone to eat healthily and to live a full life. During his retirement, he enjoyed gardening, taking a stroll past Washington Park to the Original Royal Donut Shop on Burlingame Ave, where he enjoyed his daily cup of coffee and a donut while reading his Chinese newspaper. On certain days of the week, he would go to San Mateo Central Park with his wife to socialize with friends, have a meal with them, or do TaiChi. He was a simple man and was admired by many and was popular for giving wise advice of all kinds. Anyone who came across him felt a sincere connection with him, felt at peace and had good laughs. He was a man of the Tao faith and was very affectionate to his family, relatives, and friends. He was a very humble man and very generous to others. His belief in I Kuan Tao only validated him to be even more virtuous. He always had an easy going approach to everything. He would smile and never held a grudge towards anyone. To him, everything was "No problem", "Don't worry about it", or "Just forgive and move on". Kam Hee Ip is survived by his wife, Angela Ip, his daughters Wing Schensema & Allis Soto, son-in-laws Claus Schensema & Rafael Soto; grandchildren Heinz & Julia Schensema, Trinity Tristan, & Tripp Soto; his godchildren Lee Wai On, Lee Shuk Fun, Lee Suk Yee, & Lee Kin On. He is also survived by his eldest brother Ip Kam Ying "Ye JinYing". Kam was a loving husband, a caring father, father-in-law, grandfather, godfather, & brother. He is loved by his family, relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. He will be honored through his inspiring words and teachings in their lives. A Viewing & Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 14th, 2021 at 10:00am at Skylawn Funeral Home, Hwy 92 at Skylawn Blvd., San Mateo, CA, 94402. Pls. arrive by 9:30 am. Mask is required. Ip Family 獻給摯愛的葉鑑禧先生 (Kam Hee Ip) (12/23/1937 - 11/29/2021) 葉鑑禧先生今年83歲,係美國伯林格姆市民。於2021年11月29日下午6點零3分在離住家不遠處因車禍, 不幸在舊金山綜合醫院歸空。 葉先生於1937年12月23日生於中國上海。在父親葉超宮(Ip Chiu Goon) 和母親 葉李容 (Ip Li Yung) 六個孩子中排行第四。於1940年他和母親因第二次世界大戰的緣故,排除萬難逃到香港居住。 葉先生於1960 年畢業於香港藝術中心髮藝科。1962年他和未來的妻子鄧奕瑜相遇,1963年兩人結婚。1971年1月,他們夫妻帶著第一個孩子移民美國舊金山。 葉先生夫妻在伯林格姆市經營自動洗衣店,後來在舊金山市經營一家中國餐廳。他是一位小企業老闆,一直到1999年62歲時退休為止。 葉先生是位有創意的大廚,他喜歡分享他對美食的喜好。對中國草藥特別有涉獵,也常常鼓勵別人飲食要健康和在有生之年不空過的概念。在他退休期間,他的興趣是園藝,同時,喜歡散步穿過華盛頓公園到伯林格姆街的皇家甜甜圏餅店一邊享用咖啡、甜甜圏,一邊覽讀中文報紙;或者到聯合城與親朋好友聚會,喝咖啡聊天。 每星期有幾天,他們夫妻會到聖馬刁中央公園和朋友們見面、午餐或是打太極拳。單純的他,深受朋友們的愛戴,大家喜歡請教他各種明智、有智慧的建言。每一位認識他的人都可以感受到他的誠懇、平和,而且笑口常開。 他深信一貫道,對家人、親戚和朋友熱忱、友愛。待人謙虛且慷慨。求道後的他,更是不懈於建德修道中。平日待人平易近人、對事不急不緩,總是面帶笑容,不記仇。對他而言,凡事「沒問題」、「不用擔心」或是「諒解、放下」。 葉鑑禧的家人: 未亡人:葉鄧奕瑜 孝女:詠詩、詠恩 孝女婿:馬視仙、蘇圖立德 孝外孫:馬仁龍、蘇仁祥 孝外孫女:馬仁德、蘇仁鳳、蘇仁慈 孝義子:李偉安、李健安 孝義女:李淑芬、李淑儀 胞兄:葉鑑英 (族繁不及備載) 葉先生是一位標準丈夫、有愛心的父親、丈人、祖父、義父、弟弟。他的家人、親戚和朋友們深愛他。他正面鼓舞的話語和人生哲學也會常留在大家的心中。 瞻仰遺容和告別式時間:2021年12月14日,星期二,上午10點 地點:Skylawn Funeral Home, Hwy 92 at Skylawn Blvd., San Mateo, CA, 94402 請於上午9:30抵達。全程請戴口罩。 告別式流程: 默禱一分鐘 中英文追悼詞 彌勒救苦真經 點傳師致詞 致獻詞 道歌:讓菩薩牽引你 最後遺容瞻仰 禮成 葬禮:中午12點 因新冠狀病毒疫情緣故,為確保安全,葬禮後備有個人餐盒,務請在典禮結束後領取。感恩慈悲!葉氏家人敬上
