Ivars Rozentals
March 29, 1936 - July 26, 2020
With heavy hearts ๐ we share the following news. Ivars Rozentals was born March 29, 1936 in Riga, Latvia. During WWII, he and his family escaped to Germany and immigrated to the USA where they lived in Lincoln, Nebraska. As a teenager, he moved to San Francisco after his father passed and his mother soon followed him to CA. After his service in the army, he met his future wife, Biruta in Hayward, California. They lived together in San Francisco before starting a business and family in Foster City, CA. After being treated for various cancers for more than 15-years, he peacefully passed at home on July 26, 2020 with Biruta at his side. Ivars is survived by his wife, Biruta Rozentals, daughter Larisa Rozentals Wolf, son-in-law Grayson Wolf, cousins, and loving pets. He enjoyed painting, fishing, photography, and traveling. The creative and travel genes passed to his daughter. Thank you to the wonderful staff and doctors at UCSF Cancer Center San Mateo for the care provided. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Ivars Rozentals to UCSF at https://makeagift.ucsf.edu. Please be sure to direct your gift to a specific area, Cancer.
