It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Fermina Soriano Valencia on June 29, 2021, in San Francisco, California. Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Feliciano, and her eldest son, Lino, Fermina is survived by her children (Virginia, Rufino, and Anita), eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and three younger siblings. Fermina emigrated with her family to San Francisco from the Philippines in 1962. She loved gardening, cooking, and hosting parties for her family and friends. She worked for many years while raising her family and was active in Santo Niño organizations and the Abukeño Association. She especially loved travelling around the world with her husband. Fermina will be remembered for her devotion to her family and friends as well as her endless spirit of generosity. She was best known for lighting up the room wherever she went. We will love and miss her forever.
