It was an honor to work with Ed when I served as President of West Valley College. Ed was smart, logical, thoughtful, fair, and professional. I loved to watch him drive onto campus in his fancy Porsche! I am deeply saddened to hear of Ed's passing. He touched the lives of tens of thousands of students through his competence, financial savviness, and caring.

I worked with Ed at WVMCCD. He was always ready to help, lend and ear and help you understand both sides of the story. He always had time for me. I will miss him and his leadership. My condolences to his family.
You had the best eye contact during every conversation and it always made me feel like what I had to say, mattered. I also don’t have the loudest or most assertive voice at times, but you always made sure anything I had to say, was heard. You never made me feel left out. I have had the privilege of working with Ed as I have represented Mission College for more than a decade as its real estate attorney. Ed was a true gentlemen. He was always extremely thoughtful and knowledgable, and had a keen ability to understand the deals from all perspectives. I will sincerely miss working with Ed and I feel proud to have had the opportunity. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
