Birth: Born Jan 17, 1942 in Naga City, Camarines Sur, Phil. Parents: Adela Caceres Vasquez and Santos Vasquez Children: Mario “Bong” Ferbandos, Renaldo “Rene Boy” Ferbandos & Rey Emmanuel Ferbandos. Grandchildren: April Ferbandos Siblings: Honorato Vasquez, Florentino Vasquez, Nancy Gloria, Ester Fernandez, Beata Fonacier. Education: Doctorate in Education, Psychiatric Technician Work History: After college, in 1963 went to Dapitan City, Mindanao for a teaching position. Work on her postgraduate studies during her stint as an elementary school teacher. Met future husband Andres, a co-teacher, have a family, lived in Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte and raised three sons. US Bound: Immigrated to US in Feb 1993 with husband and youngest son 16 year old Rey. Vallejo, CA: Decided to reside in Vallejo, CA to be close to her brother Honorato “Noring”. They have lived in Vallejo since and up to the present time. Her husband became ill and decided to stay in the Philippines under his oldest son Bong’s care. Andres passed away in 2002 after 3 years. Attended Napa Valley College in Napa, CA and finished Psychiatric Technician course. She was accepted to work at Napa State Hospital and worked for 20 years until her retirement in 2001. Belen’s middle son, Reynaldo, joined Belen and Rey Emmanuel in 2012. Reynaldo worked as an accountant at San Francisco City and County and tax preparer at H&R Block. He died in 2017 at a young age of 49 yrs. Belen was survived by her son Bong and his family from Tanjay City, Phil; son Rey Emmanuel from Vallejo, CA ; sister Beata and family from Toronto, Canada; sister Nancy from Daly City; and sister Ester and family from So. San Francisco; nieces and nephews from North Carolina, Maryland, Virginia and California
