Bart died in his 86th year on January 26, 2024. He was a widower after his beloved wife of 55 years, Teresa, died in 2022. He was a proud father to four adoring children and grandfather to nine grandchildren. He will be sadly miss Read Obituary
Deepest condolences to the Murtagh family. Ivana and I had a pleasure to meet and converse with Bart on several occasions and Ivana was lucky to work with him in his Burlingame office. He was generous in finding time and evoking memories of Ireland and his family. We loved his spirit and he leaves beautiful legacy with us. He will be greatly missed.

To lose a loved one not only brings sorrow and tears

Watching our girls play, Bart and I would chat a little bit
He exuded a wonderful sense of humor and a charming wit
Whenever we conversed he had a friendly great big smile
Proud of his daughter with a gleam in his eye all the while
Although those glorious younger days are a thing of the past

Bart was one of those guys you always enjoyed meeting. He took me all over on my visits to SM. Most recently in 2016 he brought Val and I to Stanford University. A visit we both enjoyed and it clear it was a place he loved and enjoyed God rest Bart
